YG Entertainment has got some exciting news for ya’ll! The YG Family will be coming together to perform a special two-day concert at the end of their year for their devoted fans. An official statement from the crew reveals, ”We will be holding the ‘2010 YG FAMILY CONCERT‘ on December 4th and 5th at the Seoul Olympic athletic stadium.”
The YG Family has held their “ONE CONCERT” every year since 2003, however fans were left highly disappointed when the concert wasn’t held back in 2008 and in 2009. Being the first concert in three years, YGE will be bringing together their hottest stars - 2NE1, Gummy, Se7en, and Big Bang. PSY will also be joining them on stage as the newest family member.
2NE1 has consistently expressed their wish for a concert this year, and it seems as if it’s finally coming true. Big Bang also commented, “We’re extremely excited at the thought of being able to meet our fans after such a long absence.”
The two-day concert will seat a 36,000 member audience, and tickets start selling on October 21st at 8:00PM through Gmarket.
If you’re a YG fan and you’re in the area, be sure to grab your tickets. It’s definitely looking to be one of the most exciting concerts of the year!

Anyone who'd want to attend you better get yourself ready and not to mention purchase your ticket/s as soon as possible, cause boy you don't want to miss to be part of those 36, 000 lucky audience to watch the concert.

Unseen photos from a wedding. Although I'm not sure when this was taken, probably not too long ago. YG family seen on the photos are BIGBANG Taeyang, 2NE1 Minji, Dara and Bom, Go Hye-sung and Se7en. See more photos below.
After learning about the hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, and wanting to learn freestyle rapping, G-Dragon started to be close with the People Crew brothers (hyungs).
"The older hyungs found this little kid who wanted to learn how to rap cute. I appeared on their cable TV program, played around and then joined them in the 2001 Korea Hip-Hop Flex album."
Participating on the album with people who did Korean hip-hop helped G-Dragon a lot. "For the album, I wrote the lyrics and then recorded it. The hyungs said it was good but my English was poor because I haven't gone abroad and that the content was generic. The lyrics were like, I am young but I am the best. (Laughs)"
G-Dragon was in the title track and wrote his own solo song. The album was really his way to get known. In the US, Lil Bow Wow was becoming popular and in Korea, there was Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha and Boa. That was also when YG Entertainment's president Yang Hyunsuk was able to notice him.
"Sean of Jinusean saw me and then told President Yang Hyunsuk. Perry (main producer) also liked me and wanted to try producing for me. I was really nervous when I met with YG then. He was my favorite when he was in Seotaiji and he had a good fashion sense with his short-sleeved shirts and I liked the way he danced. But when I first saw him, my first impression of him was different. He was wearing slippers and then asked me with a weird accent, 'You're here?' He looked like a neighbor uncle and not a member of the Seotaiji."
Yang Hyunsuk told G-Dragon's mother about his plans for him. When his mother left for a while, YG sort of told G-Dragon, "Tell your mom when she's back that you want to join YG."
"When we got home, I cried and begged and so I signed with YG. When I was 13, Jinusean, 1Tym, and Lexy were with YG. When I went to the office for the first time, I saw Dongwook hyung (Se7en) wearing hip-hop clothes on and playing with the noonas from the company. During that time, he was the most beautiful person I'd ever seen."
G-Dragon started his trainee life by cleaning practice rooms. He mopped the floors and cleaned mirrors with newspaper and did what his sunbaes told him to do.
"For 1 year, the only thing I did was clean. I get water for my sunbaes who practice and prepare their food after it was delivered. My usual sked was 1 hour of cleaning, 2 hours of practice and then 1 hour of cleaning again."
Before he turned 14, he participated in Perry's album, went on music programs and the finally joined his hyungs in a concert. That was also when he met Taeyang for the first time, the boy from Jinusean's music video.
Ahh.. All his hard work paid off. He became such an amazing person as what he is right now. I'm so proud of him. I would have never thought you'd have to do those stuffs when you start training. I think I wouldn't last that long doing that. G-Dragon did that for 1 year! I could last for a month. Yes, me and my lazy-ass. Hah. Kidding!

Before I go to sleep, I'll share you something that has been found by an Appler (Daragon fan) just about a month ago. She found one Korean site, who was able to read Dara's message board on her Cyworld minihompy and seems to be quite intrigued about Dara's friends who left her messages there especially on G-Dragon's post.

We can only see G-Dragon's messages for Dara there. Notice the message written before his name, the one which is included in the parentheses, it's written as "an oppa-like dongsaeng". Here's Belle-unnie aka knucklepink's little Korean lesson for us.
GD posted a message that said he could be an "oppa-like dongsaeng" to Dara..meaning, that even though he's young, he can still be an "oppa" to dara...
please indulge me this one time (aisht! sorry for sounding like a stupid lecturer on a boring language subject, feel free to kick me, now im posting this for those who don't know or understand yet, but for those who do, you can tell me to shut up..kekekeke): now, in korea, the word "oppa" may mean two different things...its mostly used connotation is that of a female's "older brother" kinda like "kuya" in the philippines...the other meaning of "oppa" pertains to a male special someone, a girl's lover, if you will...
now, the two meanings are not exclusive, or inclusive of the other..lots of older females call their sweethearts "oppa" even though they're older, meaning that they use the second connotation of the word, that means the guy is someone "special" to them...while the rest of the girls use the word "oppa" in its first meaning, as an older male...
a clearer example: who here watched Stairway to heaven? Choi Ji-Woo's character calls two males "oppa": her loveteam and her step-brother..she has romantic feelings for one, but not for the other, but calls them both "oppa" anyway, but the distinction is very clear...
in the case of Dara and GD: well, i think GD may pertain to the first connotation of "oppa." look at his structure, he said "oppa-like dongsaeng" the word "dongsaeng" means someone younger (in age), meaning that GD considers himself as someone who acts older than dara, but is actually younger..it may mean that he thinks that he acts and thinks more mature than Dara, who is older than him...
or he might mean the second connotation of "oppa", meaning that he would like to be a "special someone" to Dara..
it can easily mean one or the other, but not one AND the other, because the connotative meanings are far too different...kekekeke...
In either way, it's a good thing, right? Now the next thing is, G-Dragon mentioned Park Han Byul - Se7en's girlfriend. Since we already know that G-Dragon, Se7en and Sandara Park used to hang out often before, then it might also be possible that even Park Han Byul is one of their close friends as well. Probably, these four were already close back then.
His first message from the archive seems to be about Dara applying at YGE again. G-Dragon surely wants Dara to work at YGE, no? He did helped Dara pursue her singing career from the past along with Se7en.
The most intriguing message was about the 'soy sauce crab paste'. I wonder what it means from them? A code that only the two of them knows. Interesting...
His last message was on October 30, 2005 in which Dara was already back in Philippines at that time. I would like to favor more of the purple translation, in which he said he went to Byul's place and saw Dara's picture there dot dot dot dot... Seems to me that he misses Dara already, no?
Since a lot of people has been doubting if G-Dragon and Dara are really close, well I guess this one would help you think otherwise. We've been having some hints that they are indeed close with each other such as one article in which Sandara Park said that she is closest to G-Dragon and Taeyang, the time where she shared in Strong Hearts that she's been going to karaoke with Se7en and G-Dragon back when they were still trainees, and who would ever forget the infamous chili pepper dare where G-Dragon saved Dara from eating those spicy foods? Not to mention their pre-debut photo taken from an amusement park.
Notice on the right pic, where she's sitting beside a person who's wearing a black top. There were only two people who's wearing black at that time, Yongbae and Jiyong. But Yongbae was seated at the back, that leaves us no other than Jiyong who's sitting right beside Sandara. (thanks quirkyromantic for the tip)
It seems like they've been a really close friends way back 2005. One problem is, we barely see them act close together on cam, which makes it more interesting.
I've been having a hard time on updating here since my PC went nuts. I need to get it fix or I'll suffer from this pain of not living my normal life. I'm using my old PC today and it's crappy as hell. So I'm a bit late so you guys won't mind me spazzing late with this too, right? Anyway, I'm glad I didn't watch the unsubbed videos yet and then when I was about to watch it now, salvation has come; I found a subbed one.
I'm loving the intro with Boom by the way. I missed this guy so much and watching him again makes me feel extra happy. Props to 2NE1 for their great first appearance from this show. They did pretty well. I love the fact that every time Dara and Bom's age are revealed, most people's reaction would be surprised. Well, who wouldn't? Both of them looks way younger than of their age especially Dara. It was quite funny that Solbi looked like a 'noona' to them (Ssandara and Bommie) eventhough they're all in the same age. I personally thought Solbi's around 30's or something although I watched her many times since Star King.
Seems to me that Seung Gi could possibly add to Dara's list of celebrity fan boys, eh? Watching both of them interacts makes me giggle in a way. Mmm. I sense someone's getting jealous.. :P Anyway, I'm such a terrible fan. I didn't recognize during the preview that it was Insooni whom CL performed with. CL's still a bit shy but I know she'll work it. CL looks really pretty here, and I thought I was already over with my "girl-crushing-CLroo" this time. CL and Insooni's performance were awesome! Two uber talented ladies performing together is pure awesomeness, not to mention they performed one of my favorite song in "Pump It Up" game. Me and my randomness again; sorry for that.
Minji, oh my. As always, you'll never fail to amuse me in every move you do. It seems like my skin knows already when to have their bumpy transformation; every time you show off your provocative dancing. Goo Hara (Kara), SeungRi (Big Bang) and Minji (2NE1) knows each other way back before, eh? Interesting.. the Gwang-ju's Pride. kkk! Seung Gi's chest pump was priceless. He's still cute, no matter what he does. LOL
Dara's "You shouldn't be a singer" seems to be really interesting as well. Especially the story behind it. Dara, G-Dragon and Se7en seems to be really close, keeps on hanging out together even at the karaoke bar. They're very supportive with our Dara and my love for them grew even more. It was funny when Dara said that during the time when they're going karaoke together, Dara would sing seriously as if she's doing it for an audition while the others (GD and Se7en) are just having fun singing there. She did well during her 'Get Right' performance too. I can clearly see where she got/learned those '3-set Hip Hop' aside from the other 2NE1 members. *winks*
Bom's story telling about their highly hygienic leader CL was funny too! Bommie's really cute as always. I want to see Bommie perform too, it's kind of sad not seeing one, or did she? I only watched this subbed 2NE1 cuts and haven't watched the full episode yet but we'll see. Minji's "Ero-Minji" was quite a shock for me too but good thing Dara clarfied it. LOL. As always, you guys would know what my initial reaction is, right? Minji's uberly AH-MAZ-ING! Dang! This girl could own any stage she's at. She danced three (3) different types of song and yet she was still able to work her sexiness out of it. I could just praise her all the time and still I won't get sick doing it. Brian's sexy dancing was HILARIOUS!!! I swear, I could see Jokwon in him too. Minji couldn't even beat his sexiness there. HAHAHA!
2NE1 and Big Bang seems to be really open with their dearest President Yang Hyun Suk. I didn't even know they had such contract; having no boyfriends for 5 years. It's quite unfair to Dara and Bom, they'll be on their 30's when they're allowed to date. LOL! Dara and Bom's cute request to lower down the year of policy term from 5 years to 3 years was utterly funny. It was even funnier when YG responded to their cute request and allowed it to go down to 3 years. LOL. I am loving the YG family even more now. YG Family is indeed LOVE! I hope this full episode would get subbed too, I love it and I was smiling the whole time while watching it.

2NE1 Sandara Park talks about the opportunity she was given to be a singer.
For the 2nd episode of Strong Heart aired on SBS on 13th October, Sandara Park said, “I came down to Korea from the Philippines and Yang HyunSeok who trains singers in Hiphop music told me, ‘You cannot be a singer’.”
She added, “So he persuaded me to do acting. And then when they decided to form a new girlgroup, I was anticipating but I was not given any opportunities to practise.”
“And there was once a chance where I can go sing at the karaoke with Se7en and GDragon. I thought if I do well at the karaoke session, I may be given some opportunity. So I prepared a song and went with them and the atmosphere was fun and then I said ‘I want to try for once’.”
She continued, “After a few days, I filmed in the practice room and showed to president Yang and for the first time he said, ‘I saw potential in you. I am going to give you a month’s time’. And with that I became a singer.”
Meanwhile, during the episode, the 2NE1 members each revealed some truthful talks and also powerful dance performances.

My admiration for Dara has grown even more. She really has determination and perseverance to make her dreams come true. G-Dragon and Se7en were really thoughtful and sweet by helping her to motivate and give her strength to reach her dreams. It seems like Dara's pretty close to them, knowing that during her pre-debut days; Dara, GD and Se7en along with the other YG family were seen at an amusement park around 2005, hanging out together.
I remembered Dara's update before where she mentioned about the "Chili pepper dare" that Se7en told her to do it, surprisingly G-Dragon saved Dara in an exchange of one favor. We all know about his favor, right? [if not, read it here] Well anyways, this just shows how these three really have a close relationship with each other. It seems like they really love their fellow trainee - Dara to succeed in her dream.
Another day for my YouTube marathon and I was once again lurking to other blogs and websites talking about “Dara and GD’s LOVE LOVE couple” with the help of my best bud google due to a comment I have read from one of the videos I found on YouTube. It was a fanvid of Dara and GD or mostly called “Daragon” and since I love reading comments and all, I found one comment that really intrigued me. It was stated: “I feel the love of Daragon... you know why? 1. GD lent his accessories to Dara 2. The chili sauce story and how GD teases Dara by singing in or out 3.They're both very adorkable! :) Just wanted to share:)”
This was actually stated by cookiecomedian129. My eyes were like popping when I read her reason #2. I was quite ignorant with that information so I asked my buddy google about it. As expected, my best bud gave me best results. I found a very “detailed” information about it from a BigBang fan site saying that Dara Park updated her blog and she was sharing some daily event with her YG family.
It was stated like this:
“remember 3 years ago. we ate out : seven,gd,yb ~ and others from yg, we had a game and i was picked! i think i was supposed to eat chili that was so spicy! so gd said he’ll do it for me but he has one wish. i said ok go~! he said… i must sing “IN or OUT” with choreography… hmmm… i can’t help it , so i did it! it’s in a restaurant! they took a video of the entire thing! i think until now they still keep it in their old phone and every time gd sees me… he’s singing IN or OUT…. he’s so high pitched so much like a girl… hmmnn… so embarrassing! bwahahahaha…..”
After reading it I was like smiling so widely and even giggled a bit. GD was so sweet to her, I mean he was like Dara's hero there yet a mischievous one. She had to offer something in return. LMAO! *Evil grin* That would’ve looked so cute. GD teasing Dara every time he sees her by singing “IN or OUT” with a high pitched voice; that would’ve been priceless if given a chance to see it. LMAO. I see a lot of GD fans get so jealous when GD is being linked with Dara or even perhaps with other girls. Unlike them, I kind of feel happy for them and hoping to look forward for them to get together with some projects such as the rumored “19 yrs old”, a drama thriller where I think Dara Park is part of the casts and that GD, TOP and Seungri are the choices of whom will be part of the casts too. I think, I’m not so sure with this though, I need to look for some sources with this one soon. Oh well, Daragon! Hwaiting ~
